Chalet La Maitreya is run as a catered chalet (with a self-catered apartment option), you enjoy your holiday while Anne and Pascal take care of the rest. On waking up in the morning you can take a short walk downstairs to find breakfast with a wide choice of fresh fruit, homemade scones and French patisserie, served in the ambiance of a 500 years old renovated cellar. Returning home after a day of skiing, mountain biking, mountain walks or parapenten it is time to unwind.
Relax your body and spirit in the sauna, experience a reflexologie massage, enjoy the warm fire in the living room or perhaps you would prefer to read a book on one of the loungers in the garden while we prepare a three-course dinner for you. A variety of the finest French wines will be served at dinner, varieties that can only be found in France.
At the end of a leisurely dinner it is time for a heavenly night’s rest. You will be sleeping in one of the double or family rooms, all the bedrooms are spacious and pleasantly furnished. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and five also have a balcony. Maybe you would enjoy a night cap on your own balcony.
This is the way to enjoy a well-earned winter sport break or a summer holiday.
During winter season we serve afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes and while enjoying your beautiful French wine, anti-pasti, local cheese or tapas will be served in front of the fireplace. |

La Maitreya has 8 rooms, sleeping from 2 to 4 people, each of which has its own en suite bathroom, with shower, WC and basin. The rooms are beautifully furnished and most have south-facing balconies from which to admire the views of Lac Verney in the valley below. The 2-person rooms can all be configured to provide either twin or double beds. Please remember to tell us how you would like to have your room set up when making your booking. The living room in the chalet is warm, cosy and inviting and features a traditional wood-burning fireplace with comfy sofas to snuggle up on after a hard day out. The dining room is located nearby and provides a wonderful place to relax and exchange news and views with your fellow guests. There's a separate TV room with DVD player, where you can take in your favourite movie in comfort. Or, you might want to take advantage of our sauna. With bathrobes provided, all you have to do is relax! |

Chalet La Maitreya is located just outside of Vaujany, an idyllic Alpine village in the Isère region of the southern France Alps. It is one of eight resorts that make up the world-class ski area of Les Grandes Rousses, which also includes the more famous resort of Alpe d'Huez. Vaujany embraces both the traditional way of alpine life as well a modern approach to tourism. It has excellent facilities, including a 160-person cable car linking directly into the surrounding ski area. There is also a superb sports centre with a full-sized swimming pool for adults, a children's pool, jacuzzi, steam room and gym. The scenery around Vaujany is breathtaking. The south-facing resort looks directly onto the Massif des Grandes Rousses mountains and La Fare waterfall. With an excellent snow record in the winter and lots of summer sunshine, Vaujany is an ideal resort for those seeking a sophisticated and welcoming Alpine village retreat - winter and summer alike. |

For both winter and summer stays: * Help in arranging child care in the award-winning crèche in Vaujany, located right in the village centre. * Advice on travelling to and from Vaujany. * In-resort help and advice, as and when required. |
